I’m thrilled to introduce my new book, Taken for a Ride!
On the outset you may surmise it to be a travelogue or anthology of my familiar wildlife stories, but it’s not. It’s an original novella; an all-new work of fiction.
Rooted in my real experiences woven into an imagined narrative, it explores the consequences of ignorant and avaricious tourism, and in the process, highlights many of the bugbears that ail our conservation and tiger-led ecotourism efforts.
But underneath it all, it’s a human story; a portrait of economic disparity, abuse of power and the concurrent caprice and intractability, cleanness and corruption of human nature, and the risible ironies and tragic travesties they birth.
Taken for a Ride is available in paperback now, on Amazon India, here. Kindle eBook and worldwide delivery will become available soon.
Countless thanks to Sourabha for persisting with me to publish the manuscript I had written a few years ago. The book is dedicated to her.
More soon.
